Mental Health Check !

Well, I hope this one isn't a snoozer but I wanted to talk about the importance of mental health. Listen, let me tell you something. Do you know that you are an amazing person? You were put on this planet for a very specific reason. For what? No one knows..you might not even know right now, but I want to let you know that you are special. Never let anyone put you down or make you feel less than anything but valuable. Sometimes in this busy world, we get caught up in societal standards and even start to compare ourselves to other people. Please dont get distracted. You have a purpose. Recently, I found myself in a situation that was unpleasant and downright tiring. What I thought was long over decided to pop up and revisit me and because of that situation I started to let all the things that iI had dealt with start to bother me again. Even certain situations that I had resolved started to bother me again but I refuse to let someone steal my happiness and joy. Life is beautiful and you have to find the beauty within life. I was so proud of myself because for once in my life I didn't have any problems in the world. I only needed to focus on myself and accomplish what I wanted to accomplish. Somehow through prayer and meditation, I was able to pull myself out of a toxic situation. I recently hired a therapist to get me over the final little hump and to make sure this person and situation never comes back in my life again. What I realized is that when you are at your happiest, sometimes life will put things in your way to try to steal your happiness and that is ok. The key is being able to recognize those people and situations and move around them by taking a positive approach to the situation. I hope to learn a lot from my sessions so that I can move on from the situation once and for all. I know we all have people in our lives at one point in time that came off as exhausting. My goal now is to learn new skills in approaching that type of person or situation. I guess the poinit of this week's blog is to nurture yourself. Take care of your mental health because no one can fix your issue but you alone. There are many things that I look forward to in the future and I want to be sure that when the time comes, that I am mentally and emotionally capable of handling those situations. I don't want my past to affect anything that I have going on. I will be honest, I used to be a person that ignored my problems and just found things to take pleasure in but when I sat by myself those problems are still with me. As you may have read…I have done a lot of the self work that I needed to do in order to move forward and this is the final hurdle.I am proud of the step I have taken and encourage you to do the same. Your mental health is important and you deserve to wake up each day with a clear and beautiful outlook upon everything that is before you and also within…..Well, heads up because now that I have focused on innerwork and self love it is time to switch things up a bit. I look forward to you reading new and fresh material and I am even going to share some of the crazy stories with you! You won't believe the things I have been through lol….Until next week!
